We follow the story of Hartfield Jr. and Sr. and explore father-son relationship of the future after they return from deep space to Earth. Father tells a lot of stories from his space-travelling past and his son takes an inspiration from them. But this is the new world, full of robots and new rules, and becoming a hero means something absolutely different than in an old days. And the events from the past have dark consequences and not everything Hartfield Sr. done in the past turned out to be a good thing for the presence. That is where father and son have to step in and fix, what they can. At the end of first season, Hartfield Jr. Meets his heroine mother, for a first time in his life.
The series is inspired by 70/80's saturday morning shows for boys and takes weirdness of films such as Fantastic Planet (1973). The series is based on Viktor Svoboda´s previous short film „Episode 11“, his graduation film. The series provides an entertaining guide book, how to behave with strong female heroines, non-binary and newly recognized genders, automatization, robotics and new position of a man in a world. The classic relationship in a new world gives us unprecedented ways for exploring.
HART HARTFIELD
Former world star fighter and cosmic hero is trying to bring up his son. Hart went through some serious adventures in space back in his time but now he seeks normality. He loves his son and could be sometimes overprotective of him. He is not comfortable with high tech, because he does not understand how it works. He is physically strong and he is not afraid to throw a punch.
Although he is battle skilled he spends more time in kitchen now, his shape is not as good as it was during his fighter times.

ASA HARTFIELD
His heart beats for adventures as he listened to his father´s heroic stories since he was born. His father is his icon and he wants to show him what he can do. He is skilled mechanic, loves high technology and is always trying to upgrade everything. He is quite curious which leads to his rash character. Think twice is not his mantra and he does not appreciate cooperation, yet.
Given his age, eleven years old, he is not strong enough, but he can fully compensate physical strength with his wit. He is friendly and open to people, sometimes even bit naive. Oh, and he´s got a robotic hand.

Fresh graduate of animation school. Director of 3 short films focused on 2D digital hand-drawn animation. Internationally screened on festivals.
His graduation film is Episode 11 (2018). He accompanied the film with short comic Plan H (2017) and expanded its universe into another medium. Those serve as basis for HARTVENTURES.
PRODUCER: JIŘÍ SÁDEK
Jiri Sadek graduated from the High School of Applied Arts in Prague, Film and Theater set design. After that he studied at the Film Academy of Miroslav Ondricek, where he became bachelor in Directing. Jiri debuted with his horror feature „The Noonday Witch“ (shot on 35mm, Mélies d'Argent Award at MotelX 2016, co-produced by HBO). Jiri produced and directed full-length documentary „Following“ about YouTube phenomenon, widely released in cinemas and hitting TOP charts in box office history. Jiri also works HBO, Disney Channel or Pixar, films such as "Finding Dory" or "The Beauty and Beast" as dubbing director for. Jiri is founder and owner of two companies based in Prague – a production company COFILM, where he also supports younger directors with producing their shorts and OLD&RICH COMPANY focusing on commercials. He supports young talents and emerging directors as producer. He developes two animation series now – Hartventures directed by Viktor Svoboda and Baldie directed by Eliska Podzimkova.
